KEVIN G. WILLIAMS
Kevin is a member of the firm's litigation section, who focuses on helping clients navigate business, commercial, professional negligence, and fiduciary disputes.
Kevin currently serves as President of Bell Davis & Pitt and has practiced law at the firm since graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1998. He fully understands and values the trust that the firm’s clients place in him. He strives to find the most effective and efficient strategy to help his clients manage their personal and business disputes — whether by early resolution, mediation, arbitration or trial. For each client he represents, Kevin recognizes that their matter is truly unique and of the utmost importance to them.
Kevin regularly represents corporate entities and individuals in all of the federal and state courts of North Carolina, including the North Carolina Business Court, in the following types of matters:
- Contract disputes
- Corporate and shareholder disputes
- Professional negligence
- Uniform Commercial Code issues
- Product liability
- Trademark infringement
- Fiduciary litigation
- Insurance coverage issues
- Trade Secret issues
- Business Torts and Unfair or Deceptive Trade Practice litigation
Kevin is actively involved in his professional and local communities. Professionally, he serves as a State Bar Councilor to the North Carolina State Bar for the 21st Judicial District. He is also an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Forsyth County Bar Association, and the Joseph Branch Inn of Court. Personally, Kevin is an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina, and Mount Tabor High School Athletics Board.
Born in Hawaii, Kevin was raised a Tar Heel in eastern North Carolina, spending most of his formative years in Elizabeth City on the Pasquotank River and Albemarle Sound. Kevin received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. Kevin spends most of his free time with his wife, Aimee, and their three children, Sydney, Ethan and Trevor. Kevin also enjoys distance running, reading, vacationing at the Outer Banks, coaching youth sports, and rooting for his Tar Heels.
"I love being a lawyer, but I especially love being a lawyer at Bell, Davis & Pitt. From the moment I began practicing law, I learned from some of the best lawyers this State has to offer that zealous advocacy on behalf of a client and honor are not mutually exclusive concepts. I am a litigator because I like helping people resolve their disputes in a civilized, albeit imperfect, manner."
