In just a few short weeks runners and folks from all over the country will be heading out and lining up at the starting line to brave the chill and hills to race their way through the beautiful streets and neighborhoods of Winston-Salem for the YMCA’s 41st Annual Mistletoe Run.

This year the sanctioned course takes runners through the landmark neighborhood of Buena Vista, and Half-Marathon distance runners will enjoy the picturesque vistas of Grayln Estate, Reynolda, and the Wake Forest University Campus. 

 The Mistletoe Run channels purpose, wellness, and holiday cheer—bringing participants from around the community together for a cause; Bell, Davis & Pitt is proud to be the presenting sponsor for the 12th year running. 

Through youth programs like sports, swim lessons, summer camp, and before & after-school care children can build friendships, community, and self-confidence while also learning how to live a healthy life. Funds from the Mistletoe Run help provide financial assistance to families so all kids can participate in the YMCA’s youth programs and build healthy habits that last for life.  

In 2023 the Mistletoe Run raised $80,00 and with those proceeds: 

• 15 teens will have a membership to the YMCA for 1 year
• 100 kids will learn to swim
• 125 kids will play sports
• 15 kinds will have before and after school care for 1 year
• 75 kids will spend 1 week of summer at the Y
