ADAM T. DUKE
Adam Duke focuses his practice on banking and financial services, creditors’ rights, and real estate.
Adam has practiced law at Bell, Davis & Pitt since graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2009. His principal areas of practice are:
- Representation of banking and financial institutions in the negotiation, documentation, and closing of commercial loan transactions, including asset-based lending, commercial real estate finance, and the modification of performing loans
- Creditor representation with regard to non-performing loan remedies including: forbearance and loan modification agreements; enforcement of security interests; claim and delivery (replevin); foreclosure and receivership proceedings; collection actions; enforcement of judgments; asset protection; and lien and bond claims
- Real estate matters, including the negotiation and documentation, due diligence review and closing of real property transactions, negotiation and documentation of commercial leases for landlords and tenants, representation of parties to title curative actions, and representation of homeowners' associations
Adam is active in the Winston-Salem community. He is a volunteer for the Disaster Legal Services and 4ALL programs of the North Carolina Bar Association, is a current board member of the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA, and is a past board member of the Forsyth County Humane Society and Winston-Salem Community Leadership Council of the Children’s Home Society of North Carolina.
Adam was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina. He received a bachelor’s degree in history and economics, with honors and distinction, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree from Duke University prior to law school. Outside the office, Adam enjoys all sports, particularly golf and college football, and spending time with his wife, Kate, and son, Wells, at Smith Mountain Lake.
